Seltse is a village in Northeastern Bulgaria. It is located in the Municipality of Kavarna, District of Dobrich.
The village is located only 4 miles away from the Municipal centre, the Town of Kavarna – a Black Sea coastal town and seaside resort where visitors can enjoy beautiful beaches, historical landmarks, and a laid-back atmosphere.
The population is 90 people, according to the latest census.
Almost everyone who lives here is involved in farming, which comes as no surprise, considering how fertile and productive the land is.
In the village, there is a Town Hall, a food shop, a children’s playground. There is a community centre, established in 2005, which is very active. It has a group for authentic folklore, organises celebrations and events, and takes part in many festivals.
There are expats living in the area.
The annual village fair takes place every year on September 22nd, alongside folklore events and a traditional football match, and an equestrian sports tournament.
Interesting landmarks near the village are:
• The village Community centre “Hristo Gradechliev – 2005”, founded in 2005;
• The Palace and the Botanic Garden in Balchik – an architectural and park complex, a must-see tourist site along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast (only 11 miles away);
• Cape Kaliakra and the architectural reserve on its territory – It is an oblong, narrowing rocky peninsula that juts out about 2 km into the sea. The rich history, the well-preserved landscape, and the beautiful panoramic views make Cape Kaliakra one of the most attractive tourist spots on the Black Sea Coast (only 14 miles away).
• Albena resort – one of the most beautiful sea resorts in Bulgaria, where the sea meets the sand (only 17 miles away);
