Batak is a village in Northern Bulgaria. It is located in the Municipality of Pavlikeni, District of Veliko Tarnovo.
Batak is located about 32 miles away from the Historical City of Veliko Tarnovo, 8 miles from the Town of Pavlikeni, 17 miles from the Town of Levski, 46 miles from the City of Pleven and about 143 miles from the capital City of Sofia.
The main road Sofia-Pleven-Ruse passes very close to the village.
The population is approximately 865 people.
Batak is a well developed village. There are fully built electricity and water systems, also there are shops, a post office, a community center, a church, a kindergarten and a primary school.
The Karaisen Dam situated very close to the village and provides good conditions for fishing, and hunting too.
